Open Arms Camp 2017!!

With roughly 375 children in attendance, and 120+ volunteers, our 2nd annual Open Arms Camp in Assis, Brazil was the biggest yet!  The team from the US was exceptional and God blessed us with almost zero logistical problems, which is extraordinary given all the moving parts.  The theme was from 1 John 1 “Amigos em Cristo,” “Friends in Christ.”  Teaching focused on the gospel and what it means to “walk in the light as He is in the light.”  The response from the children and youth volunteers was clearly from the Lord.  The testimonies given by some of our team members as well as some of the volunteers were especially impactful.  The Lord raised all of the funds necessary for the trip, and all 375 children were sponsored thanks to generous gifts from donors in the US and Brazil.  We are thankful for how God moved in the lives of our young people and for the fruit we have already seen.

Easter Week in Aquidauana

Support our team

A team of parents and children from Open Arms partner, Reston Bible Church, will be traveling to Aquidauana, Brazil to serve with Open Arms missionaries over Easter week.  They will be participating in evangelistic and cultural events at a local school and serving the community with the indigenous church in the village of Limão Verde.  The team could really use your prayers and support.

Welcome Derwood Bible Church!

Join us in welcoming Derwood Bible Church to our family of church partners.  In January we were blessed to have Pastor Colin Seager and two members of his congregation accompany Open Arms President, Mike Meyers, to visit with our missionary Sarita Romeiro at our base in Aquidauana, Brazil.
Colin was able to visit all 5 ministry projects in the region and gain valuable insight into what the Lord is doing there through Open Arms.  We look forward to having a team from Derwood visit us soon!

If your church would be interested in partnering with Open Arms, please contact our President at mmeyers@openarmsworldwide.org

JMA Pastor’s Conference

Open Arms’ founder, Mike Meyers, was blessed to attend the 6th annual pastor’s conference held by Justice & Mercy Amazon in the John Pac Center along the Rio Negro in the state of Amazonas.  Mike joined a team of 21 teachers from Brazil, the US, UK, and Germany to minister to Brazilian Pastors and missionaries serving in remote villages along the many rivers that make up the Amazon River Basin.  The worship services, workshops, great food, rest, and wonderful Bible teaching made for an unforgettable week for these faithful servants of the Lord.

Thank you for taking a moment for the children!
