Mobilizing God’s people to bring hope to at-risk children and youth since 2006!

Founder & International Director, Mike Meyers

Open Arms Worldwide (OAW) is about Christ-centered community development through evangelism and discipleship of at-risk children and youth.

Christian church-based and community-led: OAW believes that the most efficient way to reach and teach children and youth is by training small teams to enter a community, identify God’s people who will partner with us, identify local resources available (land, buildings, gifts and talents), and mobilize those communities to reach children and youth with the hope of Jesus.  This process leverages the leadership capabilities of OAW with the goal of re-establishing healthy social connections within a child’s community.

What are other Pastors and church leaders saying about their partnership with Open Arms?

Pastor Colin Seager – Derwood Bible Church – Maryland

Church Partnership with Open Arms Worldwide can include any one, or combination of, the following expressions; direct missionary support, direct general fund support, short-term mission team opportunities (either as a stand-alone team or part of a multi-church team), and promotion of OAW’s mission within your congregation.

Short term missionary experiences

Parent-child missions, “Marriage on Mission” retreats, youth and young adult missions, are all possibilities for your church.  Nothing can replace the experience of serving alongside our Agents of Hope while we share Christ with children, youth, and their families, participate in community service projects, help build homes, lead children and youth camps, and more.

“As one Pastor to another, there is nothing quite as life giving as helping your congregation engage in building God’s kingdom among the children of the world.  Jesus said, “he who welcomes one such child in my name, welcomes me.”  When we welcome children to faith, we experience the presence of our Savior.”

– Michael J. Meyers, Family Pastor @ First Christian Church of Venice, FL & Founder of Open Arms Worldwide
