Train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

The Story of Two Bela’s

We simply could not do what we do without our team of supporters here in the US. Every member of the team deserves to share in the victories. That’s what I would like to do here. Share with you a story of victory.

The two young women in the pictures above have several things in common. For one, they share a name. Isabela, or Bela as everyone calls them.

Secondly, they are both certified child psychologists serving on the staff of Open Arms in Brazil where they counsel children and teens, and provide training for volunteers and missionaries alike.

Thirdly, they both love Jesus and are serving out of love because He first loved them.

Finally, both Bela’s grew up as children in an Open Arms neighborhood outreach themselves, and have chosen to forgo higher paying positions in order to give back to a mission they believe in: one that you and I believe in as well.

Our prayer and financial supporters are every much a part of this team. It is regular people like you that allow us to continue mobilizing God’s people to reach and teach children and youth for Jesus. Regular, faithful people like you that help make stories like this one possible and we are thankful.
