Weathering another Code Red

The second wave of Covid-19 hit and led state and local governments to return to Code Red restrictions for a time. Our Agents of Hope took it in stride, having been through this once already last year, and quickly moved to sure up food support to the children and their families, and shift to smaller, house to house and online evangelism and discipleship efforts. One of the really cool collateral effects of this shift has been parents coming to faith in Christ because we are holding bible study in their home for the children. He truly does work all things together! In mid February the restrictions were once again loosened and in-person ministry resumed.

Project Zadok – Youth Detention Ministry
When the pandemic took hold in Brazil last year, the administration of a regional youth detention facility where we have been ministering since 2009, called our team to a meeting. State regulations during the pandemic would prohibit visits. However, the administration asked if we could perhaps record our weekly bible studies and worship music so that the boys who are incarcerated there could continue to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Praise God for the doors He has opened for the gospel! Here are some pictures of the boys watching some of our videos. Thank you for praying. Two of our missionaries were able to resume in-person ministry in this facility in mid February.

Isaiah 25:4 Project at Dona Teresa’s house
